My stupidity ate my blog

From Lani, about to go out the door...

Hey, all! I had a funny blog today. A really funny blog. I would say bordering on hilarious, but I know I can only take these little lies so far before people are no longer willing to indulge me.

But it was definitely bordering on cute.

Anyway, I got distracted by something (probably something under 4" demanding waffles, but, you know, I'm not blaming anyone) and I turned off my computer without saving and :::poof:::: Bye bye, Bloggie.

And now I have to go and do revisions and write a proposal and I'm going to do it all day in a coffeehouse with a sofa where they won't yell at me for sitting there for eight hours and they keep the espressos coming. I haven't actually found this coffee house yet, but I'm optimistic.

Have a lovely day, and for those in the path of Rita, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Has nothing to do with your post, Lani, but I just finished your ARC "Ex and the Single Girl" I won over at Writeminded.

Fabulous! You've got a great ear for dialogue. And as much as I adore Colin Firth (he was sooo cute in those leather pants in What a Girl Wants) I have to admit I picture Jason Isaacs whenever there's a sexy Brit.

I can sympathise. I've spent the past week revising my ms to send out tomorrow and found that night that the document won't open. No reason. Just a message saying can't open the document. And I bet your hilarious lost blog would've cheered me up, too. Grrr.

Robyn - yay! So glad you liked EX AND THE SINGLE GIRL. And you can picture whoever you like for it. Who is this Jason Isaacs of which you speak? I must know.

Keris - sorry, luv. Just between us girls, my hilarious blog wasn't all that hilarious. But shhhh. Don't tell anyone. And there might be a way to rescue your file. Did you call tech support?

Jason Isaacs is the bad Brit officer in The Patriot- and almost had me rooting for him instead of Mel Gibson. Very smooth evil. "Burn the town? No, no. Burn the church."

He's also in 2003's live action Peter Pan, playing Captain Hook. I have never wanted to kidnapped by a pirate worse in my life.;

His imdb link is here.
