I'm three hours behind you. I just tried to thicken the gravy using the immersion blender as was recommended in the recipe AND MY GRAVY IS FROTHY! Ewwww!

FROTHY GRAVY?? EWWWWW!! Maybe you should have used a "rou" also! Some cornstarch and milk should fix the frothiness--somehow the thought of that just makes me shudder....

Happily, the gravy settled down after I left it alone for a bit. It looked like a gravy milkshake. I think I might become a vegetarian.
