I am never eating again. Seriously.

Right after I finish that leftover pasta.

I feel as if my skin is a sausage casing and I am the fatty meat stuffed inside it. No. No, that's not right. I feel like one of those turkeys that they've injected with broth.

And not in a good way.

Somehow, this feeling did not stop me from plowing through Cowboy's mother's fabulous spaghetti and meatballs or the cracked crab or the tri-tip and spinach casserole and roasted vegetables at my sister's. Nor does it seem to be stopping me from picking at the leftover pasta that came home with us.

Nor did it stop me from pouring glass after glass of red wine. The only thing that got me to stop that was the opportunity to hold my friend J's new baby who is soooooo cute and I didn't want to be benched from babyholding by being too drunk to perform my faux-auntillary duties. Thank goodness for baby Sianna! Otherwise, I would have been hungover when my jeans almost didn't button this morning.

So here I am. The morning after Christmas, full of regrets and calories. I'm so depressed. Maybe that box of See's chocolates will cheer me up . . .

I am so with you. I've watched the scales creep up every day. How come it takes a year to lose thirty pounds but only a day to gain one? It's just not fair.

Plus the dh has come down with a violent barf bug. And even with the extra pounds I do not want to get it because the sounds me made all night made me shudder.

So I swear I will never eat again. Right after I finish off the pie.

The overstuffing is a part of the holiday. Tragically it is required by law. Otherwise surely I would be able to show some restraint.

I'm with you on the not eating thing. I feel like I've gone up about four sizes in the past week. Yeah, I know that's not true, but still...
And Cindy, that dh HBB must be going around. My hubby got up with the crowd yesterday around 6am, opened presents with a smile, then crawled back to bed around 9:30. He stayed there all day, except when he ran to the bathroom. I felt so horrible for him. All he wanted to do was be able to sit on the couch with the kids and learn to play the Wii. But alas, he layed in bed and hoped for an hour without having to run to the bathroom.
Thankfully, he's feeling better today. We're wondering if it was a 24 hour bug or a really bad plate of sushi on Christmas Eve. Just in case, I doubt we'll be hitting that Chinese buffet ever again on 12/24...

It's the law? Oh, well, in that case, I guess it's okay. NOT!
