Goodbye Chocolate, Goodbye Cheese . . .

I shall miss you so . . .

It’s almost the new year, and you know what that means: it’s resolution time.

My resolution last year was to not buy any more lamps. And I think I did really, really well. I only bought three lamps. Or maybe it was four. Three or four. I think. Wait . . . do chandeliers count as lamps? Because, if so, that bumps the number up to five-ish.

Snaps for me!

This year, I’ve decided to go the more traditional route. I resolve, once and for all, to lose the fifteen pounds of baby weight still padding my rump. That’s right, I’m finally going to get rid of my Mummy Tummy. It’s time. Especially since Sam is now three, and the “I just had a baby” excuse is wearing thin. Unlike my ass.

So what’s your New Year’s resolution?

I'll see your fifteen and raise you ten. Try blaming it on baby weight when the baby is 12.

Seriously, though, I am resolving to not whine this year. I realize this will cut the amount of talking I do by about fifty percent, but that could potentially be a good thing, too!

I think I need to go cold turkey on handbags.

I never make resolutions... I only fail at them so I figure why make myself worse? Fat and a failure or just fat? I'll take the fat. :P

You must not lack for reading light, Whitney. The lamp resolution is good, but mine is to not rent videos any more. I've rented three DVDS in the last month (sadly, I can't always wait the two days it takes for my Netflix to arrive) and all three DVDs have been returned late. And late charges suck. I mean, if it costs me four bucks to rent for FOUR days, then why is there a four dollar charge for being ONE day late? It's quite puzzling, not to mention annoying. No more rentals for me.

I am resolving to learn how to use the technology we currently own. We possess so many things that I have no clue how to fully utilize. My plan is to spend about 15 minutes per day reading a manual or finding info on the net about whatever gadget or gizmo I need to better understand in our home.

I usually do not make resolutions, so I figure this is more of a long-term goal. :)

I'm resolving to have the bathrooms remodeled once and for all. And to try not to hate my husband too much for the fact that the new car is his and not mine.

And, um, to stop buying things...once the bathrooms are redone, that is. And we get the new big screen tv...

To finish my book and start my next one. To get Matt and I to the gym on a regular basis. And my BIGGEST ONE is to get on a schedule, where I wake up at a certain time each day (by the alarm clock) and have breakfast ready for my family, and get in bed before the 11 o'clock news!
