Happy trails to youuu...
And stay warm and pack extra socks, just in case

This kinda feels like the day after college graduation, doesn’t it? You know, you’re hugging all your friends and patching up the nail holes in your dorm room wall with toothpaste so you don’t get fined by the resident assistants and you’re wishing you could just have ONE more day but it’s really time to go and the powers that be are kicking you out at 5 p.m. sharp?
Sigh. That’s how I feel about posting here for the last time.
But it really IS time to go. We—all six of us and probably lots of you guys, too—have gone crazy overscheduling ourselves this year. The decision to say goodbye was agonizing, though, because we’ve had such fun sharing stories and theories and important insights about high-speed car chases. I hope you had fun, too. I hope we’ve entertained you and brightened up a little corner of your day. If we’ve accomplished that, we can call this blog a rousing success.
You can still track me down at my website, where I’ll keep you posted on upcoming releases (I have one in the hopper right now, actually; it’s called THE PRE-NUP, and trust me, it’s a barn burner!) and the ongoing insurgency of the dogs.
I know it won’t be quite the same, but here’s the thing: being a literary chick is a state of mind and, as the Eagles so eloquently put it
You can check out any time you like…but you can never leave.
So keep on keepin’ on and we’ll keep writing the kinds of novels that brought us all together in the first place. See you at the bookstore. Mwah.
P.S. Oh, and Mr. Tall sends you all his best.

Oh look I have just found this site the day everyone is leaving. Don't you hate it when when something that you like suddenly discontinues but you havent finished with it? Its infuriating enough when meanie manufacturers do it with perfumes but a regular visited blog can still leave a hole in your day. I am still furious with a friend who stopped writing her hilarious blog. Anyway, anyone who is feeling like they are missing a daily fix of idle silliness come and visit me!www.laughykate.com

When I read the title of your post, David Lee Roth came to mind. (Don't remember what album it's on, but I know I've heard him sing it.) Thank god, because it will cancel out that reference to my most hated of all songs.
I will miss coming here, but I intend to check up on all of you at your own places.
And thanks for not making me cry like Eileen did!

My turn to say goodbye to you:
I'm definitely going to miss you guys... I found you one day while angsting through a writers block and googling "chick lit". You all immediately became a daily staple of my mornings when I was (procrastinating) getting ready to start my day. It was fabulous, because in addition to finding a blog I love, I found new authors. My bookstore browsing changed a bit, as I always looked for stuff by you all first.
Which means I'm thrilled that your careers are going so successfully, because I'll have a steady reading pile. (Okay, fine, it already reaches the ceiling, but still)
The great books, the fun stories - all made coming here a treat. But even more than that, for me, it's been encouragement, incentive, to keep writing. To read about your day-to-day lives, and know that you're not that different from me, and that I can do this too.
Thanks for that. And the books. And the stories. I'll miss you all to pieces.
